Freehand Drawing Fields, Higher-Fidelity DocuSign® Import & Reliable Large Uploads

Propper Sign gains a freehand drawing field that signers sketch right on the document, DocuSign® template imports now preserve signing order and folder organization, and a batch of reliability fixes makes uploads, sign-ins, and signing sessions smoother.

Propper Sign Enhancements

• Freehand Drawing Fields. You can now place a draw field anywhere on a document, and signers sketch directly on a canvas: ideal for marks, diagrams, and annotations that don't fit a standard field. The drawing is embedded into the completed PDF, and the field is fully supported in the Sign API. Learn about field types
• Pick Up Where You Left Off. The agreement editor now tracks your current step in the page URL, so a refresh or a shared link brings you back to the same step instead of the beginning.

Easier Migration to Propper

• Signing Order That Matches the Original. Imported DocuSign templates now preserve the original recipient routing, including parallel and hybrid signing flows, instead of converting everyone to sequential order.
• Your Folders Come With You. A template's DocuSign folder is recreated in Propper during import, so a migrated library keeps its organization, and re-importing the same folder doesn't create duplicates.
• Truer Field Mapping. Formulas and conditional field visibility now survive import, drawing fields import as real drawing fields, advanced recipient roles map cleanly, and anything that can't be carried over is clearly flagged for your review.

Sign API

• More DocuSign-Compatible Reads. New read-only endpoints let a migrating integration look up account information and settings, plus envelope custom fields, email settings, and notification details, using familiar DocuSign-style calls after only a base-URL switch. See the Sign API docs
• Access Codes Enforced Everywhere. Signer access codes are now enforced on agreements initiated through the public Sign API, matching the protection agreements sent from the app have always had.

Fixes & Reliability

• Large Documents Upload Reliably. Resolved an issue where documents larger than 10 MB could fail to upload.
• Fewer Sign-In Prompts. You are no longer asked to sign in again while your session is still valid, and your session now lasts as long as it should.
• Signing Sessions Finish Cleanly. A signing session interrupted by a network timeout at the final step now recovers and completes instead of leaving the agreement stuck.
• API Rate Limits Reset on Time. Resolved an issue where an API client could remain rate-limited after the limit window had passed.
• Small Polish. In-app help links now point to the right documentation pages, and hovering an organization in the switcher reveals its full name.
