Reliable Docusign® Imports in Locker, Smoother Multi-Signer Signing & Gen Template Search

This sprint focused on reliability: Propper Locker repairs documents imported from Docusign® that could fail to open, signing sessions with several signers behave as expected, Gen template search works in the app and the API, and a set of fixes makes uploads, document generation, and sessions steadier.

Propper Locker

• Imported Documents Open Reliably. Some documents brought into Locker from Docusign could fail to open or download. Locker now repairs these documents automatically when you open them, so your imported archive stays usable.
• Completed Docusign PDFs Download Correctly. Completed documents received from Docusign now download as files that open correctly, instead of occasionally producing a file that wouldn't open.
• Upload Always Where You Expect It. Resolved an issue where the Upload option could be missing from Locker for some workspaces. Every Locker workspace now has Upload available.
• Steadier Processing for Scanned Documents. Large scanned PDFs that take longer to read are no longer restarted from scratch, so they finish processing and become searchable.

Propper Sign

• Every Signer Can Reach Their Fields. When one signer had already completed typed initials right next to another signer's field, the second signer could be unable to click their own field. Completed fields from other signers no longer get in the way, and typed initials now display at the same size they appear in the final PDF.
• Clear Sign-In Prompt When a Session Expires. Opening an agreement after your session has expired now takes you to a sign-in page that explains what happened, instead of showing a "not found" error.

Propper Gen

• Template Search That Actually Filters. Searching your Gen templates now returns only templates whose name or description matches your search, with an accurate total count, both in the app and through the API. See the API docs

Sign API

• Clearer Errors for Problem PDFs. When a document uploaded through the Sign API is damaged or isn't a valid PDF, the response now includes a specific error code and message (including whether the file can be repaired) instead of a generic failure, so your integration can handle it gracefully. Fixes & Reliability

• More Dependable Document Generation. Generating a PDF now retries automatically through a brief service hiccup instead of failing after a long wait.
• Seamless Updates While You Work. If a tab was left open while we shipped an update, the app now refreshes itself quietly instead of showing an error.
• Clearer Billing Status. The Plan & Billing page now shows a readable "Past Due" status, highlighted so it stands out, and displays plan dates in your local format.
• Small Polish. Organization settings show the option to create API (OAuth) clients only to members who have permission to create them, and Propper Click template versioning through the API works reliably again.
